New Volvo XC60 Quotes

Performance

The Volvo XC60 offers excellent grip when going round corners and offers extremely competent traction, which is especially noticeable when going around roundabouts. The only petrol engine in the XC60 range is a 3.0-litre T6 304bhp reaches 62mph in just 7.3 seconds, but the diesels make far more sense. The 163bhp 2.4-litre with the six-speed manual gearbox, delivers a 0-62mph time of 10.4 seconds, while the D5 diesel is actually the same 2.4-litre, five-cylinder engine, but has been tweaked to produce 215bhp plus more pulling power. Also on offer is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder D4 turbodiesel, offering 163bhp.

Running Costs

The XC60 is a slightly costly drive which more than makes up for its higher fuel consumption with its power. Every model powered by a diesel engine, regardless of whether you have the less powerful D4 or more powerful D5, or opt for two- or four-wheel drive, emits 139g/km of CO2. The Geartronic has quite a negative effect on fuel consumption – another reason to avoid it unless you have to have an auto gearbox – while the petrol T6 also slurps fuel pretty quickly. The T6 manages just 26.4mpg and emits a whopping 249g/km of CO2, making the diesel versions easily more cost effective but less powerful.
