New Toyota Avensis Quotes

The Toyota Avensis appeals to its ideal drivers – those who require a company car that offers comfort and refinement on the road. The car effortlessly soaks up bumps and holes and is truly at home on the motorway. It handles extremely well through towns and cities and is the ideal car for making the driver safe, secure and comfortable across long distance journeys. The petrol engine line-up starts with a 1.6-litre petrol engine which achieves an impressive 130bhp and a 0-62mph time of 10.4 seconds. There’s also a 1.8-litre which boasts 145bhp and completes the 0-62mph dash in 9.4 seconds. The 2.0-litre petrol is likely to be less popular, offering only a small performance advantage over the 1.8-litre. The diesel line-up is more interesting with the entry level 124bhp 2.0-litre D-4D and also 2.2-litre D-4D 150 with 148bhp, offering slightly less power but a more cost effective mileage per gallon.

Running Costs

Again, Toyota proves it knows it’s drivers with the Avensis. This is a car that is ideal for company usage. As such, getting CO2 emissions to under 120g/km has big implications for company car drivers so Toyota has worked hard to get emissions in the 2.0-litre diesel engine down from 139g/km to 119g/km. The petrol engines both emit over 150g/km and the larger 2.2-litre diesel is nowhere near as fuel-efficient either, making the diesel engine the ideal choice for users – particularly if they are frequent drivers who have to cover large distances.

The Avensis has various levels of trims available, all featuring a very impressive list of features. The base model T2 boasts air con, audio remote, CD player, cloth seat trim, driver’s airbag, electric mirrors, front electric windows and folding rear seats. The TR boasts upgraded air conditioning, Bluetooth, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, automatic headlights and windscreen wipers plus driver's seat lumbar support. The T4 is also very well equipped with leather seats, cruise control, front fog lights, lumbar support, rear electric windows, alloy wheels and - a first for this class of car - an electric steering column adjustment. Factory options on the range-topping T Spirit are restricted to metallic paint and a premium satellite navigation system, which comes with 10Gb of storage for music files.
