Citroën’s version of the Mini performs well on the commute and makes for a stylish city car. Free-revving petrol engines and strong, fuel-efficient diesels deliver the DS3s powerful performance. A variety of petrol engines are available including a 94bhp 1.4-litre, a 118bhp 1.6-litre (available in automatic) and the turbocharged 154bhp THP model which is smooth and quiet. 91bhp and 110bhp 1.6-litre diesels are also available. Running Costs

As you would expect the DS3 offer great economy because of its size. The DS3 is light but sturdy and environmentally sound thanks to its low CO2 emissions. The 1.6-litre DStyle e-HDi Airdream returns 78.5mpg in combined fuel economy and emitting an annual road tax-exempt 91g/km. The higher range Ultra Prestige model also performs well with a return of 47.1mpg and emitting a decent 135g/km.


Entry-level DSign models include central locking, cruise control and electric front windows. The next model up, the DStyle incorporates air-conditioning, front LED daytime running lights and tinted rear windows. Top of the range DSport also get A/C, Bluetooth connectivity, 17-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler, chrome side rubbing strips, and aluminium pedals.
