New BMW M5 Quotes

The engine with the M5 is a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 with 552bhp output and 502lb ft torque. This engine sees it sprint from 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 155mph. Although it matches the Jaguar XFR on its top speed it comes out on top in the 0-60mph run as the Jaguar will only manage the test in 5.0 seconds. However, the M5 will reach a top speed of 190mph if the M driver’s package is added and it has a seven-speed twin clutch gearbox to make the handling impressive and fun, book to test drive the M5’s performance now at

Running Costs

The purchase price of the M5 can seem quite steep starting at around £73,000 which is ashamedly about £7,500 more than the rivalling Jaguar’s starting price. However, it is when it comes to running costs and maintenance that the M5 shines against its rival as it guarantees a fuel return of 28.5mpg and has CO2 emissions of 232g/km. Comparatively, the Jaguar XFR has fuel economy of 15.1mpg and CO2 emissions at a staggering 292g/km. Similarly the M5 has a variable servicing period and it comes with a three year warranty which should keep unexpected problems from being too costly.

Although it has an expensive starting price the M5 comes with a lot of standard kit to take the edge off, these features include, front and rear park distance control, four-zone air conditioning, xenon headlights, front seat heating and a multimedia navigation system. It will also include, as standard, BMW Assist to provide traffic bulletins and suggestions for traffic diversions whereas optional equipment will be a rear-view camera, surround view and BMW night vision. A mobile application for iPhone users is an extra specification in order to receive radio, Facebook and Twitter posts on the control display, for more details on this and all of the specifications for the M5 please have a look at our brochure.
