Volkswagen is bringing a bit of style to its commercial vehicle range with the launch of the limited edition Amarok Dark Label model.
A limited number of 300 vehicles will be available to UK customers when the special edition pick-up truck goes on sale on September 22nd 2014.
The new Volkswagen Amarok Dark Label is fitted with the company’s range-topping 178bhp 2.0-litre BiTDI engine, generating up to 420Nm of torque and offering a maximum towing capacity of up to 3,200kg.
Customers will have the choice between the six-speed manual 4MOTION or eight-speed automatic 4MOTION transmissions, with 50 and 250 vehicles available, respectively. The auto version also features BlueMotion Technology.
Depending on the version chosen, the new VW Amarok Dark Label will return average fuel economy of up to 34.4mpg, while emitting from as low as 215g/km of CO2.
The VW Amarok Dark Label comes with a host of standard kit. Equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels, darkened tail lights, black rear bumper, Alcantara upholstery, multi-functional steering wheel, leather gear knob, sat-nav with a six-inch colour touch-screen, and heated seats.
An anthracite-coloured UV-resistant special coating is applied to the load area, with customers able to choose from three colours: ‘Deep Black’, ‘Reflex Silver’ and ‘Natural Grey’.
Prices for the limited edition models start at £26,125, excluding VAT, for the manual version and from £27,855, excluding VAT, for the automatic variant.
