The high performance Vauxhall Astra VXR range has been extended with the introduction of a limited Arctic Edition.

The Arctic Edition boasts the same 2.0-litre engine as the standard version but adds a lowered sports suspension and several styling features to create a unique hot hatch.

Performance-wise, the VXR delivers a top speed of 152mph and a 0-60mph time of 6.2 seconds – impressive figures for the car labelled ‘the most powerful Vauxhall Astra ever’.

Vauxhall is offering £2,000 worth of extra equipment with the Astra VXR Arctic Edition including 19" multi-spoke alloy wheels, mirror covers, front v-grille and tailgate trim.

For the first time on a Vauxhall VXR car, the Astra VXR comes with the option of a panoramic windscreen for an extra £920, offering greater visibility to the driver.

Only 500 of the Arctic Edition will be sold at £23,595, £720 more than the standard high performance Astra.

All models are available only in Olympic White with a black paint roof. The Vauxhall Astra VXR Arctic Edition is available to buy now.
