2011 will bring with it two new range-topping trim levels for the new Toyota Yaris.

The new trim levels will be known as the T Spirit and SR with the former offering ‘a touch more luxury’ while the latter has received a more sportier feel.

As standard the T-Spirit Yaris supermini will feature climate control, chrome exterior detailing as well as a USB port for iPod and MP3 players.

The most impressive addition comes in the form of an integrated, detachable TomTom satellite navigation system with touch-screen functionality, the likes of which are more suited to saloons and much larger cars.

Surprisingly the T Spirit version will cost the same as the current top-of-the-range Yaris, the TR, at a price of £11,694 despite offering more equipment and technology.

The more upmarket Yaris trim will be available on both the three and five-door models and across the full Yaris engine line-up.

The same can’t be said for the sporty SR Yaris which will only be available with Toyota’s supermini flagship drivetrain, a 1.33-litre petrol engine, and priced at a higher £13,215.

The price increase is mated with an equipment increase as the Yaris SR comes with 16-inch Toyota Motorsport alloys, a rear spoiler and a chrome exhaust finisher as well as a number of other styling features.

Inside it will be largely similar to the T Spirit with the addition of a chrome and leather sports gear lever.

Both new Toyota Yaris’s will be released in January 2011.
