The new Suzuki Celerio will offer an elevated driving position, interior space that surpasses most conventional A-segment cars and a class-leading luggage capacity of 254 litres.

Suzuki’s new city car challenger has a compact 3,600mm body, width of 1,600mm, height of 1,530mm, and 2,425mm long wheelbase. The non-slanting roofline allows greater headroom for occupants, while the wheelbase gives plenty of space in the cabin for five occupants.

Standard kit includes air conditioning, alloy wheels, DAB radio, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, ESP, CD tuner, and six airbags.

Suzuki has stated that full pricing and specification details will be announced by the end of the year.

The new Celerio city car will return average fuel economy of up to 65.7mpg, while emitting just 99g/km of CO2.

Next summer, a new engine will become available that offers even higher fuel economy, while CO2 emissions will fall to just 84g/km.

In the same summer, Suzuki will make its newly-developed Auto Gear Shift (AGS) available, which features an Intelligent Shift Control Actuator that is positioned at the top of the transmission and operates the gearshift and clutch automatically.

When it goes on sale in the UK next year, the new model will be available in six colours: five optional metallic finishes and one solid paint colour.
