Porsche has released a new Gran Turismo model called the Panamera GTS, yet another powerful Porsche addition to the manufacturer's performance range.

The four-door Panamera GTS comes with a powerful 4.8-litre V8 engine with an output of 430hp. It delivers 520 Nm of torque and can hit 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds before going on to record a top speed of 179mph.

The new Panamera's exterior design and mechanics are very sporty, just like the other Porsche performance models. It features the likes of a lowered chassis, air suspension and larger brakes expected from a performance-led design.

It also incorporates an aerodynamic body shape along with unique black styling details which stand out from the red paint job.

The economical figures of the Porsche Panamera let it down slightly with CO2 emissions of 256g/km and a low mile per gallon figure of 25.9.

The Panamera comes with a package called the Sport Chrono as standard, but a Sport Plus mode is also available. With this package the air suspension lowers and the rear spoiler angle changes, giving it a more performance-orientated driving experience.

Prices for the new Porsche Panamera start at a pricey £90,409 and the car is set to go on sale in February 2012.
