Audi's Q7 SUV has been given a new V6 engine and a new trim level for 2012, the premium car maker has announced.
The new V6 engine will go alongside the 3.0-litre diesel engine which is already available for the Audi Q7 and although the new engine is also a 3.0-litre diesel it will have a different power output.
This new V6 engine differs because it has a power output of 201hp as opposed to 242hp.
The new 201hp V6 engine has 450Nm of torque and a 0-62mph capability of 9.1 seconds. It also has a top speed of 127mph. Emissions for this new engine are 189g/km and it returns 39.2mpg.
A feature that is worth noting, although not specific to Q7's new engine or trim, is the quattro four-wheel-drive system which will work well alongside the new diesel V6.
The new trim level is the S line Plus which when added to the trims already available makes four to choose from in total. Other trims available are the Standard, SE and S line.
This new trim level adds both exterior and interior differences. On the outside the new trim offers 21" alloy wheels, metallic paint and privacy glass. On the inside new leather upholstery is offered as well as new technology including a Google Earth navigation system and an Audi Music interface iPod connection.
Pricing for the Q7 start from £39,995 on the road. Each trim level increases in price starting from the Standard, which is the entry level trim, to the new S line Plus, which is the most expensive trim at £49,120.
