Suzuki has announced it will be releasing a new Kizashi saloon in the UK as it takes on the sportier, more performance-oriented end of the market.
This new saloon is aimed at the executive saloon buyers market and Suzuki has said that UK offerings will be limited to just 500 new Kizashi Sports in the UK initially.
From the outside the Kizashi Sport doesn't have the usual appeal that you would associate with a sport model. It has quite a bulky shape to it, although at the same time Suzuki says it is designed to be as aerodynamic as possible.
In terms of engine the Kizashi Sport offers a 2.4-litre four cylinder petrol engine with a six speed manual gearbox. This engine delivers a power output of 176hp at 6,000rpm, a top speed of 127mph and a 0-62mph capability of 8.8 seconds. It returns a combine fuel economy of 34mpg.
Alongside this power the Kizashi Sport has an all wheel drive system, which can be operated through new functions on the steering wheel and gearstick.
This new Kizashi Sport model comes in just one trim level and offers high quality equipment including leather upholstery, electric glass sunroof, cruise control and an eight speaker radio/CD system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
Safety features include Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and a total of seven airbags including driver knee airbag and side and curtain air bags. These safety features are standard.
A three year/60,000 miles warranty is offered by Suzuki, as well as a 12 year anti-perforation warranty.
The new Suzuki Kizashi Sport starts from £21,995. The first models will be arriving in January 2012.
