BMW has revealed a new 6 series Gran Coupe which includes new exterior and interior design and engines.
First off the new 6 series is slightly bigger than the previous version and has additional doors and new bumper changes which includes new LED lights and bars between air intakes.
Its new range of engines includes both petrol and diesel. There is a 3.0-litre 640d diesel, which is essentially aimed at the business market and retains the BMW executive image. This engine delivers 309hp and returns CO2X emissions of 148g/km and mileage of 50.4mpg. These figures can be improved with added eco-signature EfficientDynamics technology.
The petrol option is a definitely more of a performance option. It is a 4.4-litre V8 650i which delivers a massive 444hp, 0-62mph capability of 4.6-seconds and a top speed of 155mph. This is the most powerful engine in the range.
With the new 6 series bigger body more space is now available for both storage use and passenger roominess. This is thanks to a 113mm longer body and the addition of two more doors. This means more head and leg room as well as boot storage space of up to 460-litres. These changes make it more practical than the current BMW coupe.
With new improvements this new 6 series can accommodate customers who are looking for both style and executive feel.
The new BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe will reach UK dealerships in June 2012 where it is expected to cost more than £60,000.
