Jaguar has announced new updates to its F-TYPE sports car for 2015, with the model set to receive intelligent All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) and six-speed manual gearbox options.
Ian Hoban, Jaguar’s Vehicle Line Director, commented: “Our target with engineering the all-wheel drive F-TYPE was to maintain that engaging rear-drive character that’s so important to Jaguar sports car DNA, yet offer even greater dynamic capability.
“The result is a controllable, exploitable and blisteringly fast performance car in all weather and road conditions."
With the newly announced enhancements, the Jaguar F-TYPE range will be expanded from six to 14 models.
The line-up goes from the new 335bhp F-TYPE Coupe and Convertible with a supercharged V6 and manual gearbox to the 543bhp F-TYPE R Coupe and Convertible with a supercharged V8, AWD and eight-speed Quickshift transmission.
By including a new AWD system into the F-TYPE, the quickest model will now be able to sprint from zero to 62mph in just 3.9 seconds, before reaching a dizzy top speed of 186mph.
The new 2016 model year Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe range will consist of the F-TYPE Coupe, F-TYPE S Coupe and F-TYPE R Coupe. The new 2016 model year Jaguar F-TYPE Convertible line-up comprises the F-TYPE, F-TYPE S and F-TYPE R.
All models come well equipped, with standard features includes an eight-inch touch-screen, alloy wheels, climate control, Bluetooth, sports seats, and sat-nav.
Prices for the F-TYPE Coupe versions range from £51,250 to £91,650, while the F-TYPE Convertible models cost from between £56,735 and £97,135.
