Honda has launched the 'Honda Price Promise', with the company promising to match servicing, repair, tyre and MOT quotes against local garages until 31 March 2013.

If the local garage providing a servicing quote or other is within a 10-mile radius of the location of the Honda franchise, then all Honda owners have to do is get the quote in writing and take it to their dealership. Honda then guarantee to match that price, and will even give the car a free health check whilst there.

Changing Attitudes

The team at Honda was shocked when a recent poll by Impetus Automotive showed that, of the 1,250 car people surveyed, 66 per cent were of the perception that a franchised dealership was 'always more expensive' than the local garage.

Honda's promise is designed not just to tackle that way of thinking head-on, but to also prove that a dealership is the best place for Honda owners to take their cars. Honda's argument is that their team of mechanics are trained professionals that thoroughly understand the inner workings of the brand's vehicles.

Honda heavily emphasise that their dealerships have access to high-quality Honda parts, tools and technology, to give owners' models a far more in-depth service than any independent garage or mechanic can provide. Keeping a Honda updated with the latest parts, fitted by trained Honda specialists, can help improve fuel efficiency and keep the car in brilliant condition for years to come.
