Audi has introduced a new entry-level TT Coupe, bringing prices down to just £24,070 for the 2+2 seat car.
Audi has added a new 1.8 TFSI petrol engine to both the Sport and S line specifications to sit at the bottom of the range and offer a lower entry-price than before.
With a choice of either a six-speed manual or seven-speed S tronic twin-clutch transmissions the new engine, previously designed for the drop-top TT roadster, delivers 160PS between 4,500 and 6,300rpm and 250Nm between 1,500 and 4,500rpm.
The 1.8-litre-four-cylinder petrol engine is capable of 0-62mph in 7.2 seconds and has a top speed of 140mph. The S tronic version accelerates to 62mph in 7.1 seconds but has the same top speed. Both models have a combined figure of 44.1mpg.
Entry-level TT Sport models include 17-inch alloy wheels, electronic climate control, leather and Alcantara combination upholstery and a Concert audio system with single CD player and MP3/iPod connectivity.
S line models include upgraded features such as 18-inch alloy wheels, lowered S line sports suspension, a short-shift gearbox for manual versions, S line exterior and interior detailing and xenon headlights with LED daytime running lamps.
Alongside the new engine, the latest Audi TT Coupe and Roadster ranges offer a choice of five petrol and TDI engines delivering outputs ranging from 160PS to 340PS, and come in either front-wheel-drive or quattro all-wheel-drive.
There is also a Black Edition specification which is available exclusively for the higher-spec 2.0 litre TFSI and TDI versions. This edition adds stylistic features such as 19-inch alloy wheels, a black styling treatment for the single frame grille surround and number plate holder and dark tinted rear privacy glass for Coupe model.
Interior features include a Bluetooth phone interface and an upgraded Symphony audio system linked to a BOSE premium sound system.
This Audi also includes a magnetic ride shock absorber system which helps cornering and travelling on un-even roads surfaces.
