Alfa Romeo has announced prices and specification details for the five-door Giulietta hatchback.

Prices range from £17,000 for an entry-level model to £24,500 for the range-topping Giulietta Cloverleaf, Alfa’s exclusively-badged model range.

The Turismo, Lusso and Veloce trim levels used for the MiTo are retained for the Giulietta, and Alfa is offering a choice of 1.4-litre 120bhp, 1.4 MultiAir 170bhp and, for the Cloverleaf only, a range-topping 1750 TBi 235bhp unit.

The diesel options consist of 1.6 105bhp and 2.0-litre 170bhp MultiJet engines. All engines offered with the Giulietta feature Stop&Start technology.

Standard equipment includes air conditioning, electric front and rear windows, Start&Stop*, VDC, LED front and rear lights, Electronic Q2, Alfa Romeo’s DNA technology and six airbags for maximum occupant safety.

Cloverleaf models, which boast a top speed of 150mph, add 18" alloy wheels with a dark titanium finish, dark tinted windows, red painted brake calipers and the iconic Cloverleaf badge.

The stylish Giulietta is built on an all-new ‘Compact’ platform and borrows elements of the stylish 8C Competizone sports car. It will be available to buy in summer 2010.
