Vauxhall has announced the release of a new Corsa VXR Blue Edition model priced at £19,425.
The VXR will undercut the likes of the
Citroen DS3 R and the
MINI Cooper Works despite receiving a raft of improvements on the current generation.
Vauxhall has created a new colour called Arden Blue to celebrate the new VXR and the GM-owned manufacturer is getting its money’s worth from the creation, even including it on the usually-chrome signature bar across the grille.
The grille is also wider and more prominent according to the Griffin-brand, while a sculpted front spoiler has also been added to accentuate the muscular capability of the sports model.
This is continued across the car with Recaro race seats fitted inside behind dark-tinted glass and bespoke VXR air vents.
As ever, the suspension has been lowered on the VXR and the brakes uprated while an Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) is also incorporated.
Under the bonnet the Corsa VXR houses a 1.6-litre Turbo with a maximum output of 192bhp. It can clear 0-62mph in 6.8 seconds with a top speed of 140mph.
The Corsa VXR is available to order now before arriving in UK showrooms in February.
