The catwalk is a 20 metre platform situated on top of three new Vauxhall Corsa superminis at a height of 1.5 metres. It debuted yesterday as a precursor to London Fashion Week – which began today – with a three hour-long show.Vauxhall’s Fashion Scout showcase provides new and unknown designers with a platform to exhibit their work. In its 11 year history the Vauxhall programme has unearthed a number of designer ‘names’ including William Tempest, Prophetik and Bodyamr who have gone on to dress and style the likes of Cheryl Cole and Emma Watson.“What better way to highlight our long-running commitment to emerging British fashion than by creating the world’s first ‘carwalk’ and giving young designers a unique platform to showcase their talents," said Wendy Towler from Vauxhall motors.Vauxhall chose its second best selling model of 2010 – the Vauxhall Corsa for the ‘carwalk’. A revised version of the supermini – complete with restyled front –end – is available in showrooms now with prices starting from £9.995.Askaprice.com allows visitors to the car-quotation website to source the best offers on new cars available online including Vauxhall Corsa deals.
