Toyota is the first manufacturer to offer a free-fuel offer on some of its new models.
Toyota is running a free-fuel promotion for all new Aygo, Yaris, Auris and Verso customers to combat rising fuel prices.
The offer will see customers who buy their new Toyota between now and the 30 September, as well as registering their vehicle before the 31 December, receive a pre-charged Visa card worth the equivalent of six months-worth of fuel.
Toyota’s offer has a real cash value of £635 and has been calculated using the average miles travelled in six months of ownership – usually around 5,000 miles – as well as current average fuel prices.
It is based on the UK’s current average fuel price which stands at 136.9 pence-per-litre for unleaded petrol and 141.5 pence-per-litre for diesel, according to the AA.
It is the first free-fuel offer available in the motor-industry and its success could cause other manufacturers to follow suit.
At the equivalent of a £635 discount, the offer is a bright idea to stimulate buyers as it attacks one of the most prominent issues for UK motorists.
The free-fuel offer from the Japanese manufacturer is one of three new promotions from Toyota who is also offering two-years free servicing as well as a number of revised specification levels which will offer more equipment for a lower price.
