Skoda has bagged the Scottish Family Car of the Year 2010 award courtesy of its flagship Superb Estate.

Skoda has bagged the Scottish Family Car of the Year 2010 award courtesy of its flagship Superb Estate.

The Superb’s trophy cabinet is expanding with the SCOTY joining eight other awards including Top Gear’s Best Luxury Car and the Auto Express Best Estate Car awards.

The Superb is priced from £17,720 and the awards signal the development of the model.

Initially it was introduced as a hatchback in 2002 before an estate variant was added to the line-up in 2008.

It is available with three petrol or three diesel variants including the flagship 3.2-litre with a six-speed DSG semi-automatic transmission.

John Murdoch, President of the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers (ASMW) said: “This car impressed everyone who got behind its wheel with its combination of style and space.

“Add in the additional practicality of this massive estate and its elegant looks and what you have is a car that is superb in every way and a worthy winner."

Askaprice.com offers a range of Skoda Superb finance and leasing deals as well as a number of deals on new and used Skoda cars on the car-buying website.

This includes offers on the Fabia, Yeti and Octavia that have similarly received international awards this year.
