Renault has scooped a prestigious accolade having been named ‘Most Improved Fleet Manufacturer’ at the Fleet News Awards last night.
The French marque triumphed over the likes of BMW and Vauxhall in claiming the title having received two other industry awards over the past two weeks.
Renault was praised for launching a number of new fleet initiatives in the past 12 months including cost reductions and an improvement of its range quality, according to the judges:
“Renault’s efforts in listening to what fleet operators want and going the extra mile to deliver it has resulted in a transformation in how it is now perceived in the industry.
“It launched the Renault Business Promise, aiming to improve the service for fleet operators, as well as implementing ways of driving down their costs. Although there was some tough competition this year, Renault has done the most to improve."
Renault UK’s Darren Payne – Director of Fleet and Commercial Vehicle Operations – received the award at the ceremony, held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
Payne said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have won this Fleet News award. This latest win, added to the 11 industry awards we won last year, represents excellent independent validation of the tremendous efforts we’ve put into reaffirming our position as one of the top UK fleet market players."
Among Renault’s initiatives is Renault iCare is a full maintenance programme provided for commercial vehicle customers and is rated on a pence per mile basis.
Private customers also benefitted at the hands of Renault recently with the French manufacturer launching its new Bizu range – a specification level introduced to undercut its rivals and offer a value-for-money model with improved equipment levels and features.
