Hyundai has announced prices for the new ix35 SUV crossover.

Hyundai has announced prices for the new ix35 SUV crossover.

The low-cost ix35 is available from £16,495 - a price Hyundai claims is less than a conventional hatchback or MPV.

All models in the Hyundai ix35 range come with a five-year warranty and a ten year anti-perforation corrosion warranty, meaning the ix35 offers excellent residual values, according to industry experts CAP.

The five-door Hyundai ix35 comes in both two and four-wheel drive and two trim levels: Style and Premium. The entry-level two-wheel drive Style model is available with both 2.0-litre petrol and 2.0-litre CRDi engines.

The four-wheel drive Style and Premium models, as well as the two-wheel drive Premium, are offered with the 2.0 diesel. The most expensive model in the range is the Premium four-wheel drive, which costs £20,745 on-the-road.

Two new engines – a 1.6 petrol and 1.7 diesel – will be introduced in the autumn and will offer ‘supermini-rivalling emissions’, claims Hyundai.

Entry-models come with a wide range of equipment including air conditioning, ESP, 17" alloy wheels, reverse parking sensors and heated seats./p>
