Peugeot has added a meaner looking version of the RCZ to its line up.
Peugeot has revealed its prices for a limited edition version of the RCZ coupe with just 40 units set for release in the UK.
Prices for the RCZ Asphalt will start from £29,995 for the matt grey model which will come with a black roof, Solstice black alloy wheels and matching black brake callipers.
From the outside the limited edition RCZ is much the same as the standard version with the exception of its new finish. That means it retains the signature ‘double bubble’ roof which has drawn many admirers since the model was launched last year.
Inside the RCZ Asphalt is also similar to the standard model with the addition of an Asphalt badge and livery across the mats as well as leather inserts across the steering wheel, sill covers and gear stick.
Peugeot has fitted the same 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine seen on standard models but the French manufacturer has upped the ante in terms of equipment on the new model as it looks to justify its pricetag.
Front and rear parking sensors and automatic lighting feature however the model’s headline feature is its media centre which comes complete with satellite navigation, a DVD player, music centre and communication functionality.
Production for the limited edition RCZ Asphalt will run until August and one example of the model will feature at the Goodwood Festival of Speed however customers will also have the chance to see the model after Peugeot announced a number of UK dealerships would receive a flying visit from the car.
