The Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 is the first car to use the diesel hybrid system comprising of an electric motor to drive the rear wheels and a diesel engine to drive the front wheels to create a 200bhp 4x4 system.
Traditionally, hybrid cars use a combination of electric power and a petrol engine because of the costs associated with using diesel technology.
