The new Kia Optima saloon will go on sale in the UK from 1 February from under £20,000.
The new Optima, Kia's first ever UK saloon, is aimed at the business market with qualities like low emissions and good mileage giving it a competitive edge.
There is only one engine available with the new Optima, a 1.7-litre turbodiesel producing 134hp. This power is about average for a saloon.
However the engine still delivers in terms of good emission figures as it emits128g/km of CO2 and returns 57.6 mpg.
The 1.7-litre engine is available with both a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmissions, depending on which specification you choose.
The Optima has been praised for its interior space which will serve it well in terms of competitive edge in the saloon market segment. This includes a boot space of 505-litres. This space is complimented by an aircraft like cabin, which adds a premium feel to the Optima.
There are three available trim levels on the new Optima: Optima 1, Optima 2 and Optima 3. The Optima 2 and 3 trim levels have their own small range of trims which include the Luxe and tech.
The Kia Optima is available from 1 February 2012 and is priced from £19,595 on-the-road.
