Mercedes-Benz has announced upgrades and pricing for the 2013 C-Class, which include a new BlueEFFICIENCY engine, new trim structures, the coupe version available as an AMG Sport or AMG Sport Plus model and much more besides.
Mercedes C-Class prices start from £25,915 for a saloon, £27,115 for an estate model and £30,090 for the coupé edition.
Enhancements to the C-Class will help lower the car's running costs and will reduce BIK for business drivers by up to four per cent.
The C-Class will be fitted with the C 180 BlueEFFICIENCY engine, an ultra-efficient 1.6-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol motor with electric power steering, which will help boost the car's economy.
The C-Class will be available with Executive SE as an entry point for the C 180 BlueEFFICIENCY, C 200 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY and C 220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY saloon and estate models. This package includes a sports grille, 16-inch alloy wheels, Artico upholstery and LED daytime running lights.
The Elegance trim option is being replaced by a new luxury package for the Executive SE model. The trim includes the three louver grille with bonnet-mounted star, 17-inch alloy wheels with a seven twin-spoke design, automatically dimming rear view mirror and folding exterior door mirrors, chrome trim on the side and brown Ash wood trim with a matt finish.
The AMG Sport model features AMG wheels and halogen headlights, alongside some impressive tax savings thanks to the car's CO2 reductions. The AMG Sport Plus package includes 18-inch bi-colour AMG alloys, bi-Xenon front lights, AMG sports seats, Black Artico/Dinamica upholstery with contrast red stitching, red seat belts, AMG floor mats with red edging and silver gearshift paddles.
As well as new engines and trim, the C-Class is available with revised colour options, repositioned cruise control and indicator stalks, and easier-to-read silver graphics for the telematics screen.
