The Mazda MX-5 has had yet more praise heaped on it. This time it has come courtesy of its owners.

Mazda’s MX-5 has grabbed another accolade after it was deemed the most reliable sports car in the JD Power customer survey.

The MX-5 has forged a reputation for claiming awards and titles almost as much as it has for being a brilliant little sports car however the latest title blends the two as it achieved a satisfaction rating of 82.4 per cent.

Around 17,000 UK motorists were analysed in the survey and MX-5 owners rated the two-seater highly for driving dynamics, handling and reliability. The positive feedback allowed the MX-5 to finish above rivals in the form of the Audi TT, the Volkswagen Scirocco and the Mercedes Benz SLK.

It’s the second consecutive year that the Mazda roadster has finished ahead of its competitors and JD Power associates, What Car?, were full of praise for the model.

“The MX-5 proves that sports cars don’t need to be sophisticated, luxurious or expensive to be fun-to-drive. Mazda’s MX-5 has been commended in the past and this year its margin of victory is even bigger than it was in 2010."

The Mazda MX-5 is no stranger to success and it is currently the best selling roadster in the UK, ever with more than 100,000 units on the road in Britain and more than 900,000 worldwide.

To celebrate that achievement, Mazda expanded the MX-5’s range with the addition of two ‘Kendo’ models that started at £19,270.

Askaprice.com holds a wide range of manufacturers and models at the car quotation website and allows visitors to compare and source thousands of new car deals from up and down the UK in order to get the best offers available. That means users can compare Mazda prices and get the best Mazda MX-5 quotes.
