Land Rover is freezing VAT on its vehicles registered and delivered between 4 January 2011 and 31 March 2011, however the vehicles must be ordered before the 31 December.

On 4 January VAT is set to rise by 2.5 per cent to 20 per cent; a rise which Land Rover is waiving for a limited period by partly funding the offer in cooperation with participating dealerships.

John Edwards, managing director of Land Rover UK said: "Protecting against the VAT increase means that customers can order with confidence, secure in the knowledge that the January tax hike will not affect their vehicle purchase.

"This move demonstrates that the interests of our customers continue to be at the heart of our business strategy."

Land Rover however also released its new model pricing for 2011 including 20 per cent VAT.

The Tata-owned manufacturer has experienced a successful 2010 with sales up by 30 per cent for the year-to-date with its new range of efficient vehicles thought to be the catalyst for this achievement.

The Land Rover Freelander 2, built on Merseyside, is the brand’s best-selling model in 2010 with sales up by almost 40 per cent globally and the manufacturer is looking to expand that range further with the addition of a new 2WD version for 2011, named the eD4.

Askaprice.com, the car-buying website holds a large amount of new and used Land Rover cars. Included in that number is an array of Range Rovers and Freelanders, with the majority available on Land Rover finance and leasing deals.
