Chevrolet has announced prices for its new Extended Range Electric vehicle (E-REV), the Volt, which will start from £29,995.
The Volt is available in just one trim level. Standard features of the trim include cruise control, air conditioning, heated leather seats and a DAB digital radio.
However an optional equipment pack is offered which includes satellite navigation and a DVD-ROM and MP3 playback facility. This package costs £1,745.
The Volt can travel up to 50 miles on electric power alone and with its petrol engine emits just 40g/km.
Chevrolet Volt prices include £5,000 discount courtesy of the government's plug-in grant. Orders for the Chevrolet Volt are now open.
