Ford is the most popular manufacturer at Askaprice.com with the American company most searched for on the Askaprice website.Ford racked up 17,153 more searches on the UK lead-generation site than its nearest rival.The results will come as little surprise following further data from Askaprice.com last week that revealed both the Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta were the most viewed models at the car-quotation website.Ford’s biggest competition came from Volkswagen; the German manufacturer narrowly beating Vauxhall to take second spot.Audi and BMW were the only other German manufacturers to make the shortlist, finishing in fourth and tenth place respectively; however there was no place for Mercedes-Benz.The top ten makes for happy reading for Japanese manufacturers with three of its brands slotting in to the shortlist.Nissan finished in fifth thanks to the success of the Qashqai and Juke crossovers that have both proved extremely popular at Askaprice.com.Toyota and Honda completed the Japanese contingent placing in eighth and ninth position respectively with both manufacturers benefitting from their hybrid technology.The two French marques in the shortlist find themselves side by side with Peugeot finishing a place above Citroen in sixth.Despite the popularity and critical-acclaim of the new DS3 and the attention raised by the recently-released C4 hatchback, Citroen has failed to leapfrog its stable-mate from the PSA Peugeot Citroen group.
