It has been suggested that Alfa Romeo will be returning to the United States as a new car provider, complete with a dedicated Alfa Romeo dealer network for the upmarket brand.

It has been suggested that Alfa Romeo will be returning to the United States as a new car provider, complete with a dedicated Alfa Romeo dealer network for the upmarket brand.

Alfa Romeo withdrew from the US market in the mid 1990’s in order to concentrate more on its European business, something it has managed to do very well. Taking the step back into the US is a big one though, with the market for luxury European marques already highly competitive. It is expected that Alfa Romeo will use their Italian passion and sporting pedigree to differentiate themselves and create the desire that will stimulate new Alfa Romeo sales.

The style of the whole Alfa Romeo range is smart and sophisticated, with truly awesome cars like the 8C marking Alfa Romeo out as something very special. It will come down to the American public taking a look at the range of Alfa Romeo models available and driving them, after which they are likely to be hooked.
