While used cars are the cheapest way to get your own wheels, the option of a new car shouldn’t be ruled out, even if money is a bit tight.

That old Vauxhall Nova with eight previous owners and 300,000 miles on the clock may make more financial sense than the shiny black Astra on the forecourt, but that doesn’t mean you want it.

At Askaprice.com we ask why you should settle when there’s three ways you can legally get your hands on a new car: outright purchase, leasing and finance.

Now, you may not be in a position to do all of the three but there will be one more suited to you and one choice that makes buying a new Vauxhall that little bit more realistic, and you can use Askaprice.com’s guides to decide which one is for you:

Finance

Outright Purchase

Leasing

The new Vauxhall range

Agila

The Agila city car has been on the market since 2000 and is based on the Suzuki Wagon R+.

It sets itself apart from other ’city cars’ in the sense that it’s on the absolute boundary of that category.

Basically, it’s larger than other more typical city cars like the Ford KA, VW Lupo and Hyundai i10, instead it is more allied to small superminis and mini-MPV’s.

Similarly the Agila is a five door model, and by now the message is clear: the Agila is a large and spacious city car with a level of practicality that exceeds that label.

There are three engines available, all of which are Euro 5 compliant.

Askaprice.com offers a range of Vauxhall Agila finance and leasing deals including personal contract hire as well as Agila outright purchase options.

Antara

The Antara is Vauxhall’s entry into the SUV market and it has been for the past four years.

We at Askaprice.com are going to call the Antara an exclusive 4x4 but before the petrol heads among us get riled, the title is not based on luxury, more for the fact that there aren’t many on UK roads.

The compact SUV is comfortable and handles well both on and off road, it is similarly practical and comfortable as you would expect of an SUV.

There are a number of Vauxhall Antara personal contract hire options at Askaprice.com.

Astra

The Astra, unlike the Antara, is one of the more common sights on UK roads.

The newest version of the popular hatchback is larger than its predecessor and benefits from a number of design and styling improvements.

It’s more muscular and generally sleeker than the last incarnation and looks better for it.

As with any car that consistently stays at the summit of its class, there is a wide range of engine options available on the Astra, and an even more extensive range of specifications and trim levels- it’s not bespoke but it’s not too far off.

Askaprice.com has a wide range of Vauxhall Astra finance and leasing options including personal contract hire special offers.

Corsa

The Corsa is a supremely successful supermini and one of the heavyweights in that segment.

It is available in both three and five door variants and the fourth generation is the best of the lot and as a result it was voted 2007 Car of the Year by WhatCar?

There’s not too much more that can be said about the Corsa. It has been on the UK market since 1993 and its popularity doesn’t look like waining.

New Vauxhall Corsa cars are available at Askaprice.com with time limited deals on personal contract hire.

Insignia

The Insignia is considered as Vauxhall’s flagship range on the back of its recent success (European car of the year 2009) and that success is echoed in the amount of bodystyles available in the range: hatchback, saloon and estate.

The Insignia took over from the Vectra in 2008 and inherits the massive engine range of the former model.

Likewise, there is an equally extensive range of specifications and trim levels for the Insignia that is so technology laden that it has often been referred to as an executive saloon – without the price tag - most notably by Top Gear who named it Executive Car of the Year.

As could be expected of an executive saloon there are a number of Vauxhall Insignia leasing and finance deals and most notably a selection of personal contract hire options.

Meriva

The Meriva is one of two small MPV’s available from Vauxhall.

It’s a spacious vehicle that places the majority of its emphasis on practicality and in particular its endless supply of seat configurations.

The family car is ideally suited to family requirements in that it is spacious, adaptable and cheap.

Not only is it priced between £14,000 and £20,000 it’s similarly cheap to run with a typically extensive range of engines, trim levels and specifications.

Leasing new Vauxhall Meriva’s is easy with Askaprice.com where there is a wide range of personal contract hire options on the small MPV.

Zafira

The Zafira is the second of Vauxhall’s small MPV’s and since its launch it has become synonymous with the ’family car’ image.

That’s because it’s practical, relatively cheap to buy and own and it is permeated by good quality fixtures and equipment- a necessary feature when there’s children about.

The seats can be folded, pushed and clicked in to all manner of positions and configurations that make the car extremely practical and suited to the needs of a family car.

Whether you’re interested in Vauxhall car leasing or buying a new Zafira, Askaprice.com provides a range of options including personal contract hire and business contract hire.
