The BVRLA, or British Vehicle Rental and leasing Association, are a regulatory
trade body established in 1967 that regulates the rental and leasing of cars and vans in the UK.
Its member list provide short-term self-drive rentals, leasing hire and fleet management services to both private individuals and
businesses and they operate a combined fleet of around 2.5 million cars, vans, trucks – 2.5 million being nearly half of all new
vehicles sold in the UK – spending in excess of £16billion each year on vehicles and a further £4billion on support and additional
