Founded in the 1920s by Cecil Kimber, MG specialised in two-seater sports cars. Born out of Kimber’s Morris garage in Oxford, MG (Morris Garages) produced its own customised models to the designs of the aforementioned owner. The sporty versions of Morris cars earned a name as the affordable performance car. Success in motor racing followed along with some famous customers including the Duke of Edinburgh. Keen to take over a company with such heritage, MG was bought by Chinese manufacturer SAIC in the 2000s. Now with the manufacturing giant behind the famous octagonal logo, MG continues to make stylish cars.
