Performance

The Ford Grand Tourneo Connect is a car that’s been built to handle passengers to travel in luxury. With comfort at the forefront of its design, the car offers a surprisingly smooth and pleasant ride, with excellent handling. It’s a car that’s much more nimble than its style would suggest, offering a confidence boost to drivers not used to cars of its size. The Grand Tourneo Connect is available with three different types of Ford’s well-regarded 1.6-litre TDCi, offering a quiet, refined experience from the driving seat.

Running Costs

Despite its size and bulk, the excellent efficiency and range of the diesel engines available give the Ford Grand Tourneo Connect a surprisingly cheap running cost. No model of the engine is particularly greedy with fuel, however lack of petrol engine will effect the buyer due to diesels higher overall costs. This is somewhat negated however by the optional ‘Fuel Economy’ pack available, which boosts the average consumption to a very impressive 61.4mpg.

Equipment

The Ford Grand Tourneo Connect features three different trims, Style, Zetec and Titanium; all of which offer an impressive array of features for their price. The Style model features twin sliding rear doors, electric front windows, rake-and-reach adjustable steering wheel, 16-inch steel wheels, overhead storage and immobiliser. The Zetec features all the above as well as lumbar supported driver’s seat, electric rear windows, fog-lights, heated windscreens and air conditioning. For those willing to spend a little more money, the Titanium adds 16-inch alloys, dual zone climate control, roof rails and rear privacy glass. Ford also offers additional ‘packs’ for the Grand Tourneo, including ‘city packs’, ‘comfort packs’ and ‘fuel economy pack’. All these add additional features for additional costs.
